Leon Singer

About This Project

Singer-songwriter Leon Singer unveils his first single “Go Crazy” Friday, July 13th, 2018 accompanied by a cryptic, black and white video à la David Lynch.

Invoking the unmistakable twang of classic Americana – from the haunting vocals of Chet Baker to the iconic guitar tones of Chris Isaak – “Go Crazy” proves a promising introduction to the new project. Self-produced by the charismatic singer, “Go Crazy” is the first excerpt from Leon Singer’s solo career.

Rebellious, intense and passionate, Leon’s music is the result of a perfect symbiosis between 70’s pop and 80’s rock – free, sensitive, and to the point. After evolving from different groups and side projects (opening for 2006 Eurovision contestants Lordi, German heavy metal singer-songwriter Doro Pesch, and Swiss hard rock band Gotthard), Leon Singer is now set to focus on his solo project, allowing him the full independence to tap into his personal influences and create something completely new.

The video for “Go Crazy” symbolises passion and the endless quest for perfectionism. A kaleidoscope of emotion, influencer and model Louisa Mazzurana (former contestant of Germany’s Next Top Model) embodies the feeling of seduction that bubbles underneath the skin. Sichtfeld Medien perfectly captures the heated rock atmosphere within the 3-minute feat, highlighted by a brooding Lynchian aesthetic.

Leon Singer comments, “Who among us is not familiar with this situation? You are happily in a relationship but suddenly someone slams the door in your face. Was it your fault? That’s Go Crazy. How someone feels when they cannot let go of their partner.”
