DARDUST
Italian songwriter-producer Dario Faini, better known as Dardust, has spent the past decade captivating audiences with a genre-blending sound that merges neo-classical piano and electronica. With six albums and 500 million streams to his name, Dardust’s work includes epic stage productions, syncs with Apple and Hyundai, and collaborations with brands like Maserati and Vanity Fair. His latest album, Urban Impressionism, drops on 8 November via Artist First / Sony Music Masterworks.
Raised in Marche, Italy, Dardust’s musical journey began as an escape from a feeling of alienation. Inspired by David Bowie and classical training, he ventured into electronic music, finding a unique voice that channels everything from Italo-Disco to minimal piano. Dardust’s compositions, often blending intense emotion and unexpected contrasts, have been deeply shaped by life’s challenges, including personal loss and an earthquake that destroyed his childhood home.
Collaborating with high-profile artists like Stromae and Sophie and the Giants, Dardust continues to defy categorization. His music resists labels, as seen in his recent dual-sided album, Duality, and his film scores, including the new soundtrack for Mani Nude, featured at the Rome Festival.
