ABOUT MICKY

With his unmistakable cover versions, Micky became enormously successful on streaming and social platforms in a remarkably short time. The singer now has over 2.4 million followers on social media, 2.7 million monthly listeners and has generated 110 million streams so far in his musical career.

Growing up in a loving, light-hearted and traditional environment, Micky initially dreamed of becoming a tennis player in his childhood. But life had other plans and led him down an exciting path where, over time, music became the focus of his creativity. He learned to play the violin at the age of six and later the piano – but his main instrument today, with which he complements his singing, is the guitar. Based on his multifaceted life experiences, Mikey’s sound mixes elements of folk, pop and singer-songwriter.

Matching this, Micky’s musical influences are wide-ranging, drawing inspiration from artists such as Paolo Nutini, Ray LaMontagne and Damien Rice. His greatest inspiration, however, remains the heroes of everyday life and the amazing things that “ordinary” people accomplish every day. His recipe for success, with which he has been able to build up an enormous following and audience in a very short time, is characterised by real emotions with which he fills his music and thus – surprisingly, so far only via streaming services and social media – builds up an immediate relationship with the audience. Micky doesn’t give live performances and hardly reveals anything about himself, rather he clearly puts the music in the centre.
